Cyanotype on fabric

Making your own cyanotype tote bag

I have always been dedicated to create cyanotype prints on paper, but making cyanotype on fabric is also a very nice process, and you can create clothes, decorative elements for your home and many other things you can imagine.

One of those things are tote bags. Besides being a beautiful element, it is very practical, since you can use it to go shopping. I have one made with my cyanotype tote bag kit, I use it every day to go shopping or to go to the post office to send my orders.

This tote bag you see in the pictures is my personal one, I use it daily to go to the post office to send your orders, to do the shopping and in general for anything, as it is very useful and versatile.

When we create cyanotype on fabric we always spend a little more cyanotype liquid, because the fabric absorbs the liquid, so you have to be prepared with a good amount.

The liquid can be applied in two ways, making a lot of cyanotype and dipping the fabric in it so that it absorbs it, or as with paper, using a brush to paint it. The second option in my opinion is the best, since we can better control where to apply the cyanotype and we do not spend so much.

This tote bag is very nice and resistant. It is 100% cotton, recycled and eco-friendly. With this kit you will have everything you need to create your own.

You will get a tote bag painted with the cyanotype emulsion ready to create the design you want along with an eight page guide designed by me, so you can learn step by step how to make cyanotype, and create your own cyanotype liquid in the future.
